Volunteer to support Alderwoman Garza

A biking, walking and transit champion running for re-election to city council on Chicago’s Southeast Side needs your help.

Alderwoman Susan Sadlowski Garza is the first female alderwoman in the 10th ward. Sue represents the following neighborhoods -- South Chicago, South Deering, Jeffery Manor, the East Side, Hegewisch, Slag Valley and The Bush.

See Ald. Garza’s response to our candidate questionnaire and a full list of responses from aldermanic and mayoral candidates.

Sue will focus on transportation equity and seek to ensure that all residents have equal access to jobs, education and health care. She believes that promoting walking, bicycling and upgrading bus service will create healthy, sustainable and equitable communities.

Sue is committed to small businesses and environmentally sound development in the ward. During her first term, new sidewalks, street lights, accessible ramps, bike lanes and permeable pavement streets were installed throughout the ward.

Sue needs you to volunteer on her campaign to ensure that she is re-elected and continues as a champion for active transportation.
