Share a transportation questionnaire with candidates in your ward

Election Day for Mayor and City Council in Chicago is one month away and now is the time to get candidates on the record about the city’s most pressing transportation issues.

Active Transportation NOW has sent the following questionnaires to all candidates for mayor and alderman that will appear on the February ballot:

Candidates are asked to send responses to by Friday February 1. All responses will be posted on leading up until Election Day.

You can help by ensuring all candidates in your neighborhood complete the questionnaire. For help finding candidates in your ward, check out Chicago Tonight’s 2019 Chicago Voters’ Guide.

  1. Email the link to candidates in your ward and encourage them to complete it by the February 1 deadline.

  2. Share the link with candidates on Facebook or Twitter.

  3. Stop by a campaign office and bring a printed copy of the questionnaire.

Together we can better educate candidates and voters about local transportation issues, and eventually win game-changing improvements for walking, biking and public transit over the next four years.

The questionnaire is based on the Active Transportation Alliance’s - a 501(c)(3) affiliate of Active Transportation NOW - 2019 Active Transportation Agenda for Chicago. Earlier this month candidates shared their ideas about the future of Chicago bus service and other transportation topics at a mayoral forum co-hosted by Active Transportation NOW and the Pilsen Alliance.
